Mid-Season racers are more "exclusive" to obtain than normal seasonal racers. Their rarity in events/drops does not make them any better than the more available racers, but their rarity will likely be involved in several events with decent rewards. Mid-Season racers also have crew associated with them. These crew members are also considered Mid-Season, meaning they are harder to get, but are not strictly better than regular crew for those collections. [[Hades]], [[Gaston]], and [[Anxiety]] are a few examples of this, where they came with Mid-Season crew but are apart of an existing collection. There are some collections that are exclusively Mid-Season, and those are likely the hardest collections for players to gather racer shards and crew shards for.
