![[Hack.png|250]] The Hack Common Skill is a Hindering skill, primarily used to disrupt other racers driving. When Hack is applied to a racer, their screen gets flipped from left to right, and a purple vignette is applied to your screen for the duration of the hack. More testing needs to be done, but I currently believe that ALL 'reverse' effects applied from Hack last for 4 seconds, with an extra ~1/2 second on each side for the 'transition' right before and after the purple vignette effect. Your Hack skills can only be applied to enemy racers, and does not affect your team in Team Mode. The only real benefit to powering up Hack it for the projectile to travel faster. If you do not care about the projectile speed, then do not prioritize raising the power of Hack with your Crew Skill Bonuses. > [!note] Bugs currently exist where having multiple hack effects applied at the same time will result in the screen staying flipped, but the purple effect will not display. The colors will be normal, but the screen is still flipped for a few seconds. ### Normal Activation An unguided projectile is shot forward, bouncing off walls until an opponent is hit, or until the projectile despawns after 3 seconds. ### Charged Activation A slower, guided projectile is shot forwards, following the middle of the track until is expires after 3.5 seconds, or hits an opponent. ### Backwards Activation Backwards Power 1 Hack is on the track for 6 seconds Backwards Power 5 Hack is on the track for 7 seconds Deploying Hack backwards leaves a small wall of 'purple' that enemy racers can drive through. Multiple enemies can drive through the same hack placement, and all of them would be affected. Considering how small the difference is for the duration between power 1 and power 5, its not usually worth powering up Hack.
